Dear Friends! Dear Colleagues!

It is our pleasure  to  welcome you  at the web-site of the  Baltic Forum for Youth Entrepreneurship Q-Camp 2010.

This Forum is a part of the  project “Best Agers – Using the knowledge and experience of professionals in their primes to foster business and skills development in the Baltic Sea Region”.

The Forum is held  in  greater Saint-Petersburg area (Russia) on October, 7-8th 2010.

The aims of the Forum are  to share experiences  of  the  Baltic Sea region experts  in involving Best Agers into innovation and technology entrepreneurship activities of the youth and stimulating international collaboration for creation and promotion of innovative hi-tech projects.

Who are Best Agers?

The so called “Best Agers” (defined in the project as people aged 55 and older)  are older professionals who are healthier than ever, well educated and motivated and who can be mobilised to counteract the negative effects of demographic change by  sharing  their expertise and experience.

In particular Best Agers can be mobilised to counteract the impacts of demographic change by supporting young entrepreneurs and start-up companies with their skills and knowledge. They can also tutor and support students and pupils in transition periods of leaving schools and universities to the labour market.  The overall objective of  Work package 5 (WP5) of the “Best Agers” project is to create favorable conditions for knowledge transfer from Best Agers to pupils and students in order to foster processes of start-up creation.  Q Camp is one of the  WP5 activities in this area.  It creates  the international  space of communication between Best Agers and young entrepreneurs.
